About

A place where I can write irrelevant anecdotes that make me sound like a pretentious git.

I went and saw a really great film last night. “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” has pretty much got it all - great direction, great acting, great photography and cinematography, and a great story. Kudos to Casey Affleck, younger brother of the mostly sterile Ben, who puts out an impressive turn as the protagonist/antagonist (it’s hard to tell which role he exactly plays), and Brad Pitt is also excellent. I imagine it will sweep the Academy Awards early next year, it surely deserves it. And it is great to see that it was an Australia directory behind this modern western epic.
